The Basics

Chaga, a fungus (Inonotus obliquus) that grows on birch trees in cold climates, has been used traditionally in Russia and Northern Europe for centuries for its potential health benefits. Modern research suggests that Chaga may have immune-boosting properties, due to its high content of beta-glucans which stimulate the immune system. It also contains antioxidants which could help reduce inflammation and improve overall health. Some studies have explored its potential in cancer treatment and reducing blood sugar levels. However, these findings are based on preliminary research and more comprehensive studies are needed.
